In June of 2018 the Art Foundation of Santa Barbara hosted an exhibit of historical artwork from the collection of the Santa Barbara Club members; artworks of historical value; and contemporary works. Local artist Thomas Van Stein conducted a presentation about his work and history in the Santa Barbara Community. 

Thomas Van Stein is an nationally recognized, award-winning artist. He received his BA in Illustration and graduated with high honors from California State University, Northridge. He furthered his education by attending Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design, and traveled worldwide to study the art and culture of 38 countries. In May 1999, Van Stein graduated with distinction from California State University, Northridge, earning his Master’s Degree in Art.
