The Art Foundation of Santa Barbara (AFSB) held a special talk with top representatives from Bonhams Auction House, at the Santa Barbara Club on Thursday, September 10. Yes my Loves! That Bonhams, founded in London by famous print dealer Thomas Dodd in 1793.
The representatives were Joe Baratta SVP, Head of Trusts & Estates, North America at Bonhams; and Kathy Wong, Bonhams director of Business Development and Fine Arts. Both are based in Los Angeles. Baratta works closely with an extensive network of professional fiduciaries, trust officers, attorneys, and client advisors on estate collections ranging from fine art and jewelry to collectible cars. Wong’s role is to develop consignment opportunities for the Fine Arts departments on the West Coast and provide Fair Market and Replacement Value appraisals for estate tax, financial planning, and insurance purposes.
